What is high-speed satellite broadband?

If you are experiencing slow broadband speeds or dodgy connections and are finding things like sending emails, video-calling family and friends, internet banking and online shopping a bit of a nightmare then satellite broadband could be the perfect solution.

Our broadband service is beamed from our satellite in space, which means it works pretty much everywhere. The Internet services you can access with a satellite broadband connection are the same as those accessed via a traditional ADSL, cable, fibre or 4G. 

Although latency is slightly higher with a GEO network compared to LEO (due to the greater orbital distance, this is around 600 – 700 milliseconds, which will work for many business applications. Our experts will be happy to advise you which service would be best for your needs.

Your satellite service will be activated once your equipment has been installed. Our team will contact you to arrange an installation date within a few days of processing your order. 

We offer packages with different connection speeds and data allowances. That way you can choose the one that best suits your needs. If you work from home or have a busy household you should choose a package with high speed and priority data. If you are an occasional Internet user then go for a smaller data package to optimise your budget.

Some packages have limited usage or a limited volume of full-speed data. To experience the fastest speeds, it's important you choose a plan with enough peak time data to cover your needs. Depending on the package you may be able to benefit from free night-time data so you can schedule major downloads and software updates overnight.
